DESCRIPTION:

This photograph featuring Vernon Edwards' Cyptoclidus model was originally produced by Camerascopes Ltd in 1931 for the book Monsters of Primeval Days. It was also available as a stereoscopic set that was featured on the Cavendars Peeps into Prehistoric Times cigarette cards. This is a run-off print likely used as a cropping guide for its American Weekly Magazine feature, in which it never actually ended up being included. This photograph also appears to be an alternate take as it slightly differes from both the Monsters of Primeval Days image and the stereoscopic Peeps into Prehistoric Times version.
